This is your moment! Don’t let the pressure or price of picking out a dress get in the way.
Take a deep breath, a sip of champagne, and hit the shops with your girl gang. Do a little research ahead of time to find out which designers the boutiques in your areas carry and get shopping!
The goal is to look like a million bucks, for less. Shhhh………..
They won’t know.
#1 Martina Liana
I have to give the number one spot to my girl Martina okay, it would be wrong not to since I wore style #1171 on my wedding day.
It was everything I could have wanted and more. The quality of her dresses are AMAZING. There are so many beautiful crystals and beading that will make you sparkle as you walk down the aisle. Her dresses have a decent amount of stretch, but are still able to be altered to give you a SNATCHED look for any body type. My dress had an Almond- not white- underlay, letting the Ivory lace steal the show.
Martina Liana gowns have breathtaking trains.
They are modern, long and detailed and are complete show stoppers. I opted for a matching Cathedral Length Veil too that extended past the train so that you could see all the details.
This dress came in at $2900 after tax.
If you like the designs from Martina Liana, you can check out the Essence of Australia label that is like a parent label that has similar styles for a bit cheaper.
#2 Pronovias
Wow, do they have SEXY down to a science or what?

Depending on the boutique, these will run anywhere from $2,000 to $3,000.
I love that all the Pronovias dresses give me something I have never seen before, from beautifully draped lace, to perfectly placed cutouts and a whimsical meets bombshell vibe.
But let’s be real, its giving $12,000 Pnina Tornei say yes to the dress vibes. If anyone asks, you went to KLEINFELD.
#3 Justin Alexander
I tried on a few Justin Alexander dresses while dress shopping. Although I wasn’t specifically looking for one, my consultant brought me an off the shoulder dress and a fit and flare to try on and I was pleasantly surprised.
There are a few things that give away a “budget dress” in my opinion. First, the LACE. Lace that is chunky and cheap looking is a dead giveaway. I was surprised that the quality of the lace on Justin Alexander looked just as great as some of the more expensive dresses I tried on.
Justin Alexander Signature dresses usually are priced in the $1200 to $1850 range.
Pictured is style #88222 (left) and #88219 (right).
Aren’t these new styles GORGEOUS! Help… I want to get married again!
Many styles have Long Sleeve attachments to distinguish a Ceremony and Reception Look. No “custom requests” needed which is a luxury in itself.
Conclusion
Remember these words!
When preparing for Dress Shopping, know that there is a balance between having a few dresses from your preferred designers picked out, and KEEPING AN OPEN MIND. Let your stylist bring you a dresses that are similar to your inspo pics that you might not have picked out yourself. They also might be able to tell which dresses will compliment your body type. HAVE FUN AND STAY BEAUTIFUL.
